BlackBerry, Delphi utilizza il QNX per migliorare le prestazioni del software e la sicurezza delle auto autonome

In attesa che BlackBerry rilasci ufficialmente i risultati del Q2 per l'anno fiscale 2018, il brand canadese ci conferma una nuova partnership. Questa volta è con Delphi che ha annunciato di aver collaborato con BlackBerry QNX per elaborare una partnership commerciale per il suo sistema di guida autonomo. A tal proposito, Glen De Vos, CTO di Delphi, ha dichiarato come: "BlackBerry QNX fornirà un'infrastruttura di software robusta per CSLP e contribuirà a favorire il sistema di guida autonomo di Delphi. La sicurezza nei sistemi di calcolo ad alte prestazioni è fondamentale per una soluzione di guida autonoma di produzione".

L'annuncio di Delphi segue il lancio di QNX Hypervisor 2.0 di BlackBerry QNX per aiutare i produttori di automobili a realizzare una macchina sicura e collegata, nonché a seguito delle indiscrezioni su BlackBerry e sugli strumenti anti-hacking per le auto connesse che sta studiando.

Delphi Teams with BlackBerry QNX for Autonomous Driving Operating System Platform
GILLINGHAM, ENGLAND and WATERLOO, ONTARIO--(Sept. 20, 2017) - Delphi Automotive PLC (NYSE:DLPH), a global leader in autonomous driving technology, announced today it has signed a commercial partnership agreement with BlackBerry Limited (NASDAQ:BBRY)(TSX:BB) to provide the operating system for its autonomous driving system.

Delphi and BlackBerry QNX will collaborate to bolster software performance and safety in their operating system to advance autonomous driving technology.

Delphi's fully integrated automated driving solution, Centralized Sensing Localization and Planning (CSLP), to launch in 2019, provides car manufacturers and Automated Mobility on Demand (AMoD) a best in class turnkey automated driving solution. The BlackBerry QNX OS for Safety will facilitate Delphi's proprietary Ottomatika software algorithms and middleware, to enhance performance and safety.
